This classic design was first developed in the 1940s as a hardworking alternative to traditional cowboy footwear for rodeo riders. A shorter heel and round toe made it easier to transition from wearing it with stirrups in the saddle to running on the ground when roping cattle. Our style builds on that history of proven utility with the sturdiness of our signature bench welt construction and leather outsoles with rubber panels for added traction.
